Uninstall Office 2003

Is there a way to completely uninstall Office 2003 on an XP machine? I am
having problems with my Word 2003. It does not not open any document. When I
double-click a Word document, Word opens but not the document and everything
is grayed out but I do not get any error messages at all. This only happens
with Word, I do not have any problems with the other applications. I tried
doing Detect & Repair but it did not help. I uninstalled and reinstalled
Office. After I reinstalled Office I am still getting the same problem. I
want to do a fresh install, is there a way to do this?

I sounds like you are using a trial version and you've expired. You cannot
trick your system into any more free time. It's time to pay the piper.

Before you uninstall, try re-registering Word as described in
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ReRegisterWord.htm . If
running Detect & Repair did not fix the problem, then
uninstalling and reinstalling probably won't fix the problem
either, but you can uninstall by clicking on Start | Control
Panel | Add or Remove Programs | Microsoft Office 2003 | Remove.
Be sure to back up your Outlook .pst file(s), Word
autocorrect/custom dictionary/template files, etc., before
uninstalling.

The OP says, "This only happens with Word, I do not have any
problems with the other applications." If the OP has an expired
trial version, wouldn't the OP have the same problem in all
Office applications?

But the OP didn't mention other "Office" applications. I can be so dammed
pedantic at times but I've learned not to assume either.

It's not a trial version. It's Office 2003 Professional and it's only
happening in Word. All the other Office applications are fine.
