You can install Office XP back on the box after removing
Office 2003.
Remove Office 2003 Beta through the Add-Remove programs.
After is it finished removing, install from Cd, but
instead of letting it autorun.inf, cancel this.
Leave the CD in the drive.
Go to Start | Run, and type the following:
<cd rom drive letter>:\setup.exe
NOFEATURESTATEMIGRATION=1 /L*V C:\install.txt
Click OK.
This will tell the features of Excel, etc. to install
completely. When you removes Office 2003, it left the
refcount to not install Office XP back.

Yeah after installing Office 2003 beta the only way to get an older version
of office working is to reload windows, or you can install a full version of
Office 2003 and it will work fine.

Ah, I guess you were running the beta on a production machine, then, eh?
Thank yourself for that one then.
