unistall MS office

Linda

Hi, I have a problem. I purchased a laptop about a month
ago and installed my office 2003 on this computer. I now
need to return the laptop. How do I unistall my software
and still be able to install it on another computer with
out being guilty of software piracy?

Hi, Linda,

If you have a retail license, you should be able to install it on one
desktop and one laptop for your own use. Check the terms of the End User
License Agreement (EULA) to be sure.

I'm not clear on "return the laptop"? If it comes with a recovery CD
(many laptops do) run that, it will put everything back to where it was
when you bought it, all that you have done or installed including
Office 2003 will be gone. Or you could just format the hardddrive.

Whoa...sorry--I missed that whole part of "return the laptop". Run setup
and choose to uninstall Office, if it shouldn't be on the laptop any longer.
Or go to the Windows Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs applet and remove
Office from there.
