Update issues after upgrade

One of the pc's at my office had a most likely pirated version of Microsoft
Office XP Professional with Frontpage (for which we have no disk). It was
never able to receive upgrades due to a missing proplus.msi file. I made my
boss buy a new fully legal complete version of Office Pro 2003. I installed
it on the pc as a complete install, not as an upgrade. When I went to the
office family update site, I still got a message asking for the Microsoft
Office XP Pro with Frontpage disk. Any thoughts or suggestions on what I
should be doing differently?

Did you uninstall the previous Office version?

Also, take a look at:

I thought that by installing the complete new version, all previous versions
were uninstalled. Am I wrong? Is there a way to check?
Thank you.

Hi Jake,

Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control
panel for Microsoft Office XP and 2002 series applications.
Your prior version included Frontpage, which the MS Office 2003
series does not. The upgrade normally leaves behind applications
it can't replace when you use the 'normal' install/upgrade process.
