Upgrade of Publisher

M

MARSH

I own Microsoft Office 2000 and want to upgrade Publisher only to 2003
version. Need the most cost-effective avenue for doing so. Thank you.

If you don't want to pay for it, I guess you could get on your hands or
knees, or maybe clothe yourself in invisibility, and sneak into a
CompUSA store and steal the program, though I don't recommend that.

Although I would like you to let me knokw if you discover how to clothe
yourself in invisibility )

There is a rebate in the US full version of Publisher for upgraders.

Some foreign markets have separate upgrade copies.

I believe that if Publisher was pre-installed on your system as a OEM, you
do not qualify.

"Rebate is not valid: in conjunction with other Microsoft offers or rebates;
or for upgrades from or on Academic Edition product; or Not-for-Resale
product."

Bless you for mentioning that! I can't tell you how many people don't bother
looking to see if their computers meet the system requirements before they
buy software.

I'm pretty sure you do qualify. You always used to...

Where is OEM mentioned? NFR software is software you get for free from
Microsoft provided you don't sell it on.

You should get a copy of the EULA for the software in a separate booklet
when you get your machine.

Ah - I consider OEM software not for resale. My mistake.

And they may not have received a booklet with OEM. They may only have a
card.
