Use Resources From Greyed Out

Morning All

Our current scenario:
· I have both the MPP Resource Pool file open as well as a Project.
· Both can succesfully be published to the Project Server 2003
Environment
· When I select to Resource Sharing option, I can only select Use Own
Resources.
· Use Resources from is greyed out.
· The AD Group has succesfully synchronized with the Enterprise
Resource Pool

Question: How can we enable the Use Own Resources option? Having the
Resource Pool file open does not enable this feature as described in
other articles in this group.

Thanks!

Once you are in Project Server environment all published project shave the
Enterprise resource pool as resource pool hence can not have an other pool.

Thanks HTH;

But how do I use a resource pool created at the Project Server level
then? I

Do not want individual resource pools for each project, and if I try
and add a resource to a project, the Enterprise resource pool is
unavailable. If I assign the resources manually or Building a Team
from the Enterprise, then the Resource Allocation is innacurate across
multiple projects.

Mooncrow,

Don't try to publish your old resourcepool.mpp on Project Server. Instead,
"import" this mpp file :
When connected on Project Server with Project Professional:
Tools / Enterprise Options / Import resources in the Enterprise....

For more information, post your question on the public.project.server NG.

Hope this helps,
