Using a two page spread

I'm creating a newsletter in two page spread format and on
page 4 and 5 which is the middle of the newsletter I want
to be able to use the middle area of the spead for example
put a picture right in the middle. However when I print
in it prints with blank space right in the middle of the
picture (where the crease or fold goes) is there a setting
that I should be using so that I won't have that blank
space right in the middle?

This is for really old versions of Publisher, but maybe you have a HP... Maybe a
newer driver??
I've used all sorts of printers, never had this problem...
