Using InfoPath for Contract Templates

M

Hello -

I am frustrated with the limitations and annoyances of using Word 2003 to
try and create contract templates to be used by my company's field sales
force. InfoPath seems to be the better route, but since these are forms that
will need to be sent to our customers, and then printed and signed, is there
a way to create templates in InfoPath that allow them to be printed nicely as
a contract for signature? I read where you can email the form to
non-Infopath users, but it would need to be an attachment.

Ideally, the best route would be able to have our internal sales people use
Infopath to select their contract specifications, then have the output
generated into a printable Word document.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Maryellen

Hi

InfoPathcould be a great soltion. Pay attention that when you send
InfoPath as an attachment, the customer needs to have InfoPath also.

Anyway, the big advantage of InfoPath is that you can create a
printview easily.
This means you have a View where the customer canfill in all the
data, and when he/she clicks Print or PrintView the data is used to
have it incorporated into a contract format.

How to do this?
1. Create you form the customer has to fill in
2. Go to menu Views -> Manage Views (a task pane is opened at the
right)
3. Selec you newly created form (point 1) and click Create Print
Version for this View.
4. Design the print version, taking are of printer settings , colors ,
etc
