This is just a general question regarding the use of InfoPath. We currently
use Office/Word 2000 and have hundreds of templates and custom menus to run
the templates.
If we upgrade to Office 2007 we lose the ability to create the custom Word
menus. Would InfoPath be a good replacement method of creating & accessing
the templates? Most of them have macros in them that run when a new document
is created from the template. I haven't used InfoPath, just read a bit about
it. Does it have a UI that would organize the templates into groups and
enable users to run them?
And would Sharepoint need to be a part of the equation?
Any info would be appreciated.
