Using MS Access with XP's Task Scheduler

I have an Access database that I want to run under Task Scheduler in XP Pro
(SP2). When run in this way it will have no need to interact with the desktop.

It seems, however, that Access needs to be able to interact with the desktop
just to get started. If I run it under Task Scheduler using an account that
can appear in the Welcome screen, it runs perfectly. If I try to run it using
an account that doesn't appear in the Welcome screen, but is otherwise
identical, Access gets called, but it hangs before it gets to the first line
of my code - then Task Scheduler times it out and it finishes with a code of
0x80.

I really want to run it under a hidden account, so can anyone tell me if its
possible to do either of the following:
1) tell MS Access not to try to interact with the desktop
2) tell XP that a particular user account should have a desktop in its
environment, even though it shouldn't appear on the Welcome menu
