Using MS Publisher to publish a web page

SM

Hi,
I'm new to all this, and have used MS publisher to create a website (my
first) onto my desktop. I have signed up with a host service that says it can
accept MS Frontpage directly.
Only when I finished did I realise I was using MS Publisher not frontpage!
(Doh)
There does seem to be a facility to publish the MS Pub document to the web,
and I now have managed to save it as a web page and an associated folder.
Can I upload this now to my web site to get it to work? If so, how??
Thanks for any help!!!

You could go to your webhost and read through the FAQs or support section
for information on how to upload using the FrontPage Server Extension, which
is likely to be under uploading with FrontPage, which is basically the same
mechanism you use for Publisher web pages if you use HTTP uploading
protocol. You should also find some reference as to how to activate your
FPSE in the FAQs.

Also reference: Publisher - Uploading:

If you are using a form in your Pub website, you will need to use HTTP
uploading. Otherwise, downloading and installing a third party FTP client
like FileZilla such as Don suggested might be the easiest method.

Reference: Publisher web publication forms 101:

And another reference using different words: Prepare, publish, and maintain
your Publisher Web site:

In the future please post web design questions in
microsoft.public.publisher.webdesign and we will try to help you there.

Thank you Don.

I have a project I'm working on and will need an FTP to verify some
procedures. Great timing. (Normally I use FrontPage 2003 or Expression Web
but I'm using Pub 2007 for this test. I think I'm using that teaspoon that
Ed mentioned in another thread.)
