Using MSP 2002 files in Project Server 2003

My client wants to have some MSP 2002 users and some MSP 2003 users both
updating projects to a Project Server 2003.

What problems will this cause - does this work. My other concern is that
they are uploading time data from another system and putting the data in the
Actual Work Protected fields that do not exist in 2002.

Would you recommend doing this?

Ellen:

While Microsoft "supports" this environment, IMO, it's a bad idea. You loose
functionality that 2002 doesn't support, as you've already surmised.

thanks, Gary - I finally talked them out of it. they wanted to do
customization using the Actual Work Protected field. this field doesn't
exist in 2002. Very dumb idea.

I don't like mixing application versions, service pack versions or
metaphors. Although I must say that mixed metaphors are far less likely to
bite you in the butt. Maybe an occasional slap in the face...<g>
