Using Multiple Email Accounts

I use multiple email accounts and previously was able to
hit the drop down menu under "Accounts" next to
the "Send" button to select which account I wanted to use
to send the email. I am now receiving a message "Cannot
perform operation due to fatal error in Outlook" How can
I repair?

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2002 (Professional)
