Hi,

You can use custom fields for Filtering, Sorting, and most of all (I guess
that's your best usage) grouping.
Hope this helps.

Hi,

You can only assign a task to a resource.
So having a team field does not help.
You have to create a resource representing the team and assign your tasks to
that team.
But nmind you, should you also assigne tasks to the individual members,
Project will not recognize that member as part of the other resource
("team").
There is no hierarchy in Project's resources.
Hope this helps,

Thank You! You did help!!
Just to make sure- the "Team Name" can help me only to filter resources and
attribute them to a team? I didnt understand how a team member can delegate
tasks to another team member. Also- how to create a team leader

Hi,

As for tasks delegation, that only exists in Project Server.
If that is what you are using I have to refer to the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup
From what I know the possibility to delegate in Server is set by the
administrator in terms of user rights and cannot be set in the project
itself.

So: You can only use the contents of a field to filter, sort and group.
Read help on these 3 features if necessry.
Hope this helps,

I meant in the PWA - that's where i defined the teams...
i want to understand how can i assign a task to a team, and how team members
can delegate tasks to each other. I heard it's possible...

Hi,

Well, that is typically a question for the Server Newsgroup.
In this NG ypu will typically find the desktop version specialist, and it
isnormal that you only get answers relating to titsz possibilities.

Greetings,
