Variable graphics

I am trying to merge variable graphics into a merge document. My dbf file
has a field with the full path name of the graphic. How do I identify the
merge field in my Publisher document as a graphic and not text? When I
insert the field name that contains the image, only the path merges into the
document. Thanks for the help!

Are you using Publisher 2003? You need to be using Publisher 2003 to do
this.
If you hover over the field name in the dialog where you insert all your
fields, a drop-down arrow appears to the right of it. Click the arrow, and
click "Insert as image"
