Is there anyway to delay a task a set amount of time before continuing on
with VBA?

You can use the Sleep() API:

Private Declare Sub Sleep Lib "kernel32.dll" ( _
ByVal dwMilliseconds As Long)

Call it as:

Sleep 1000

for waiting 1 second.
