Video over multiple slides

Hey all, I searched but couldn't find this question or answer ...

I want to run a five minute video (a music video) and want to have the
words on the screen as well - basically subtitles.

Is there a way to run video over multiple slides? I know you can do it
with sound, but how do you keep the video on the slide, but have words
under the video change?

HELP!

You can't put anything on top of video in PPT. If you can size the video on
the
slide to leave room on the bottom for text you can do this. It's a bit
cumbersome
but will work. Use as many text boxes as needed, stack them in the order they
need to appear and use Custom Animation for each box to come and go as needed.
Since timing is crucial you may need to adjust on different systems. I hope
we get
a better idea here but that's what I've been able to do in the past.

R P Dale,

If you have the video clip slightly smaller than the page, then you can add
titles out of the way of the video clip.

reason: powerpoint plays video on top of your content.

If you put the video clip on the "slide master" you can have it play over
several slides using the "continue slideshow" trick

What I've figured out on my own is how to get the video to continue to
flow over multiple slides by setting how many slides, and then just
creaing a new text box along the bottom of each slide with a few
words.

I love this idea of putting it on the master slide with a text box
under it that I just change ... will try that!

thanks for the help so far!
