Video plays blank in power point. How to correct it?

I inserted videos in my powerpoint and could not get them to play. It shows
black screen. Any suggestions?.

you should check the settings
also, check how you created the slide, use "create movie from file"
it has to be an approved format, you can find this in the ppt help
section, you can't use .dv, use .mov
and, check that you have to move the cursor to the center of the blank
screen on your image of the slide, and click the mouse
