view file without program

Someone sent me a file .pub. I am assuming it is a
publisher file. I do not have this program but need to
view this file. The sender only has it in this format.
What can I do?

Thanks. I am not sure if I can get him to do any of these
steps to resend it to me. If you have any other info on
what I could do to read it that would be great.
