I need to view less info from a what is entered in a table. I created a
seperate table for viewing than from entry only to discover each table will
hold different dates in the start and finish columns..Or did I do something
wrong. Is there a way to link tables or should I do this this with a view?

Hi Tracy,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

If your new table has the columns Start and Finish, the dates should be
identical to the standard entry table. To what extent are they different?

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

My new table has the columns Start and Finish. The Old table does not but
when I open the task inormation I see different dates. So can two tables hold
different data even though it is the same task and same project file?

No - that's impossible!!!!!!!!!!! Could you give more detail? In the
Task Information dialog what dates are shown, and what dates are in the
Start and Finish columns for the same task? How did you set up the columns?
If you double-click on the Start column heading, what is the Field Name?
