viewer for publisher

A friend of mine mailed me a file made with publisher.
It was quite a big file so i wondered what it was about...
but i cannot open it since i do not have publisher...
My question is :Is there a viewer for .pub files and
where can i get it? I could not find it at Microsoft site

The above link explains your viewer question. However, if you like you can
forward the Publisher file and I will convert it to any format you choose.
PDF would be the easiest, allowing you to view it in the free adobe reader
software.

There is no viewer for Publisher files.

To view Publisher files requires you to have the same or later version of
Publisher.

Get the sender to convert it to PDF and re-send it to you.
