Viewing Portfolio Analyzer

We have installed Project Server 2003. We are having
difficulty viewing Portfolio Analyzer views in PWA. We
installed the Office Web Components (OWC11), but when you
hit the "View Projects in Analyzer" link, it will go to
the analyzer page and hangs up. On machines where we have
installed Project Professional it works fine. The rest of
the machines are running Office 2000 applications.

Has anyone else ran into this error?

Jeff:

The OWCs must be installed on the client machines. At best, you'll get a
runtime activation on a machine with Office 2000, which may or may not
satisfy your users.

allow viewing of the analyzer with a machine that has
Office 2000?

Yes.

I have now tested on about 5 machines. 2 work as
expected, 3 need to have Project Prof 2003 installed in
order to view the analyzer.

Could the version of IE 5 vs 6 have an impact?

For Project server 2003, you need either at least office 2003 or project
2003 installed on the machine to get full OWC functionality (including
portfolio analyzer views)
