Visio 2000 - automatice updates to charts

Hi

I have been able to create org charts using the wizard. The charts come
from an excel sheet and i was hoping someone could tell me how i can make the
org charts in visio update automatically when i change something in the excel
document.

v2007 supports datalinking from external sources. Your description of what
you want (excel initiating the change) would require code to be written in
excel.

Or set a refresh interval in Visio.

Yup, you could set a refresh within an open drawing. I personally like David
Parkers idea of tieing a visio pivot drawing to an org database. It makes it
more dynamic and you get around the orgchart wizards restructuring
everything if you need to change anything other than datalinked to a shape.
