Visio 2002 shape sheet problems

When I attempt to change the line color or fill properties on some objects
from the shape library (such as a gate valve) using the shape sheet, the
property doesn't appear to have changed. For instance, when I changed to
line color from "0" to "2" on the shape sheet, the lines on the gate valve
remain black, not red. However, when I use the menu to change the line
color, it assumes the default line color is "2" (red), even though the shape
still displays black lines. Is this a Visio bug?

The shape is probably a grouped shape, which means it will have several
shapesheets. You may have just changed the wrong shapesheet.

When you do play with grouped shapes, make sure you do not ungroup them.
Ungrouping will lose information in the grouped shape and any information
that is shared between shapes. There is an Edit "group" on the menu.
("group" may be GROUP or the name of the shape)
