Visio drags...

After you Draw text box(or any other draw etc tool), you HAVE to click
pointer tool if I want to select an arrow(or anything else, or drag multiple
objects for that matter). Else it wants to draw more textboxes. after drawing
a Text box If, I click on that same text box or another arrow, it should
understand that I want to simply SELECT that thing.

Left clicking on an existing textbox(and other things) makes it go in edit
mode.(different from Publisher and other s/w, where it goes in edit mode AND
shows a drag/resize box)
So to drag resize in Visio, I have to right click it, press Escape, then
resize or drag. What a pain.

Subscipt is totally screwed. For writing subscript like L1 , where "1" is
the subscript, write “L1†normally. Then select the part you want subscripted
(“1†in this case) then click the subscript button on the Format Text toolbar.
If you try to do this the intuitive way, by typing "L" then clicking the
subsscript button then typing "1" <<THE "L" BECOMES A SUBSCRIPT TOO>> !

Cant draw equation symbols like lambda inside a text box.

Thanks for the posting. Yes, here are two areas where Visio behavior
differs from the rest of Office. Visio started as an independent app from
Microsoft. Over the years, there have been many attempts to standardize the
behavior of the product to be consistent with Office. However, not
everything works the same yet.
