WeekDay Constraint

Hello

I had a task A that succeeds task B.

Task A has a task level constraint, in that, it can start on either
Monday or Tuesday of the week. It cannot be started on any other day
of the week.

How do we achieve setting up a dependency like this whilst retaining
the "Constraint Type" as "As Soon As Possible".

Please help.

Hi Rajesh,

I assume when you say Task A can only *start* on Monday or Tuesday its
duration can carry its continuation to other days?

Try creating a calendar (Tools > Change Working time) where only Monday
or Tuesday are working days -- all other days are non-working time. Add
a task with a 1 minute duration as the predecessor to Task A (linked F
to S) and set the newly created calendar as the task calendar for the 1
minute task. (Advanced tab of the Task Information dialog box.) The
task calendar will restrict the days that the 1 minute task can occur to
only Mondays and Tuesdays and because of the link, Task A should also
follow the restriction.

If Task A can only be *worked* on Monday or Tuesday (in addition to the
*start* on restriction) you could omit the 1 minute task and apply the
task calendar directly to Task A.
