weird page sizes

I have MS word 2003 and book file from older copy of MS
Word someone typed for my mom. Some pages in the view
print {(and I assume will print wrong)...I'm trying to
prepeare for self publishing)APPEAR smaller than the
other pages. I've tried to correct the page layout or
size but this has no effect... I've thought it might be a
HARD page break or something but have no idea on how to
correct... other than retyping 200+ pages...not a good
plan!!!!
