What is "office shared features" in Office 2007?

I am selecting which features to include from Microsoft Office Home and
Student 2007. I have just a laptop and do not want things on it that I will
not use. The trouble is, I don't know what some of these programs are or
what they are used for.

I really only want the word processing program and maybe Excel... Are any
of the others necessary to run these two..???

IF you dont know whihc features you would be using and which one would not,
make PPt, 1Note not available, choose install on 1st use, for word and
excel.

Everytime you open or access any feature that you want to use, it will be
installed at that time.
