What is the difference in licensing for academic proffessional

S

Sableice

I am just getting into learning about these programs and the new (to me)
licensing stuff. I am confused as to really what is the difference in the
licensing in the academic and the regular setup of office 2003. Will I be
able to use it to do assigments on the web or will I have to get the
proffessional set up for that? Will I be able to get help if I have problems
with my programs? Please either explain the differences of these set ups or
tell me where I may find these answers.
Thanks

See http://www.microsoft.com/office/eula/en.mspx "End User License
Agreements: Microsoft Office System". The two primary differences are
that Office 2003 Students and Teachers Edition cannot be used for
commercial purposes, but it may be installed on up to three computers
owned by the same person. Other Office 2003 editions can be used for
commercial purposes, but may be installed on only one or two computers
(depending on edition).

Hi Sable,

The MS Office Academic editions are non-retail sets
licensed to schools. The support level direct from MS
may vary based on the licensing with the school.

(the Student and Teacher's edition mentioned is a special
retail package of MS Office 2003 Standard Edition, not
not an Academic licensed one).
