What is the maximum file size for OneNote file?

We are scanning documents into OneNote. Saving the file seems to disrupt the
process and take serveral minutes. Is there a size limit to OneNote files?

I'm not aware of an absolute file size limit (other than that imposed on
any application by the OS and filesystem in use). You would normally want
to separate out into different files so that your entire scanned library
wouldn't have to be in RAM at all times.

Are you sure that the automated save is disrupting the scanning process?
How are you scanning these documents? What is the way that these scanned
files are fitting into your OneNote hierarchy? One scanned doc per page?
per section? etc.
