This problem has occurred with the same user on two computers with two OSs
(NT4 and XP Pro)and two versions of Word (97 and 2000).
Word works fine for a while, then it stops putting the existing file name in
the name box when she goes to do a Save As. She has to type the name from
scratch every time. Along with this problem, when she opens a doc from the
shortcut in her Favorites folder, Word no longer save the doc into the
folder the document came from, but saves it back into the Favorites folder.
I'm tempted to say "user error" but she's worked here for a long time and
never had this problem before.
If I uninstall and reinstall Word, it works for a while and then acts up
again.
Any ideas?
