When is next Office product version?

My boss is budgeting for 20 licenses of Office 2003. She was wondering when
the next version (2006??) will be coming out, and if she should wait to buy
the licenses.

TIA

1. Next version is anticipated after or concurrent with Longhorn.
2. Your choice. No one has seen Office 12 so how can anyone offer advice?

Milly -

I'm confused about your responses to my question.

1) I did not "after furious head scratching" ask the question. I use (ask
and answer) the forum often, and knew that that would be the besk and most
logical place to find the answer.

2) I'm sorry I didn't make myself more clear on my question, thus resulting
in your unclear answer. I have no idea what Longhorn is. I was looking for
a timeframe of when the next version of Office will be released so my boss
could weigh the advantages of waiting (but not another year, as I found out)
for the release or buy the 2003 upgrade.

Longhorn is the next incarnation of Windows.. Microsoft will be looking to
maximise on how any new Office product will integrate with the facilities
offered by the final version of Longhorn.. as yet, if there is a new Office
on the way, no details have been released..

In my opinion, if you boss can't make a decision, then maybe somebody else
should be in charge of the project.. :)
