When play the file I saved, the animations not there?

I produce a pps and save as pps but when I open the saved file none of my
animations are there, the letters/wording just pop up and do not display in
the animations I selected?
I have MSPP 2003

When the animations mess up, are you playing them in PPT 2007, PPT 2003, a
different version of PPT, or in one of the PPT Viewers?
