I installed a bunch of fonts in C:\Windows\Fonts but they don't seem
to be avaialable in MS Outlook.

Where are MS Outlook fonts stored?

That's the same as for Windows in general. Are they available in other
programs? Note that when sendig a message in a specific font the receiver
must have that font installed as well.

I have the same problem. I am running Office XP Pro on my work laptop and found, to my dismay, that my most often used fonts from Office 97 were not included with the new program. I installed the fonts directly to the "FONTS" subdirectory in the WINDOWS directory. I can access the newly installed fonts from WORD. However, the fonts do not appear, nor are they otherwise available, in the OUTLOOK fonts menu.

I've done all I can do trying to figure out how to make it work. I don't think it's a "path" problem because all the fonts on my hard drive reside in the same location. Any ideas?

Thanks.
