which version to get?

Hi,
I've been asked to look into which version(s) of Project to get for our
needs.
We are a team of around 10 with a large project coming up. The Project
manager will do *most* of the inputting of data (although others will be
expected to chip in).
Most of us will only need to view the project/timeline.
I don't know much about Project!
Win2k workstations. 2003 servers. Office 2000.

What would be the best solution here?
Project clients for those who need to input? Enterprise version (web server)
with 1 client?
I know little about what is offered with standard/Pro/Enterprise. I looked
on MS web site but was unable to separate the sales pitch from the data!
Can you input data (in the browser) using Enterprise or is that only
"do-able" using Project on a client PC?
Hopefully the scenario makes sense.
many thanks.

For a team of 10 I would just get Project Standard for whoever needs to edit
schedules and maybe search for some companion tools to add on any
functionality for creating viewable snapshots, or just save .gif and .htm
files from Project for the team. Project Server will be overkill for your
needs.

Adding a note to Mike's answer, Project Professional only adds functionality
to what you'd get with Project Standard when it's being used in a network
with Project Server installed. Without Server, the two are essentailly
identical. With Server, the Project Managers who create and maintain the
plans all need to have MS Project. Resources who access the plan, perhaps
update it, but who will not be modifiying it access the plan with Project
Web Access through their browser.

Many thanks to you both.
