Who does what when report

We are working with multiple subprojects tied to one master plan on a project
server. When we are in a subproject and run a "who does what when" report,
it pulls in ALL resources from every subproject tied to the master. Why does
it do that? We only want a report of the resources from that particular
subproject.

(Also as a side note, when a task from a different subproject appears on the
"who does what" report, it has a task ID number of -1. Any insight as to why
this is would be great too)

Open only the subproject in question, and do not open the shared resource
pool file. Does this solve your problem with the Who Does What When report?

Dale -

That's exactly what we've been doing. We rarely ever open the master plan,
and I never open the resource pool. I open the subproject only and it still
pulls in all resources connected to the master.

Odd. What version of Microsoft Project are you using, and what level of
Service Pack? When I open a subproject in Microsoft Project 2007 (SP2), and
do not open the shared resource pool file, the Resource Sheet view for that
project shows ONLY the resources assigned to tasks in that project. It does
NOT show the resources from the master project. That is the default
behavior of the software. Let us know and we will try to help.

It's probably a default behavior in 2007 because they realized it was
something that needed to be fixed from the 2003 version, which is what we're
using. (and I have no idea what a service pack is) We might be giving up on
the Who Does What When report and using the "To Do List" report and running
it per resource. Right now we only have 10 resources so it's tedious, but
still do-able. And it also eliminates those extra resources being pulled in
from the master.

Thanks for the feedback. Are you in Illinois, Nebraska, Colorado, or some
other state where there is an Aurora? Just curious, as I have lived in both
Nebraska and Colorado previously and had visited Aurora in each state.

I work for Aurora Healthcare in Wisconsin. I'm not familiar with other
Aurora companies in other states. We mainly serve the southeastern portion
of Wisconsin (so from the WI/IL border up north through Green Bay &
Marinette).
