Why are resources overallocated when duration is only 1 hour.

I have three subprojects and a resource pool. Several tasks only take 1 hour,
however, each of these tasks shows 100% allocation at 1 hour and 300%
overallocation. The work day is 8 hours. My resources each have 5 hours of
time remaining. What am I doing wrong?

Faq 34: Overallocation occurs in less than one day.

In short: when you are booked in 3 one hour meetings, all 8-9 a.m. you have
only 3 hrs of work booked, but you will probably feel overallocated!
