I read on a printer forum you can put clogged cartridges in boiling water for awhile
and they will become unclogged. Haven't tried it.

drc023 said:Not possible on an Epson. The printhead is permanently installed (not user
replaceable) in the machine. You are thinking of HP and Lexmark cartridges
with integrated printhead and Canon which has a user replaceable printhead.
Look on the printer newsgroup comp.periphs.printers for the name Arthur
Entlich ( e-printer####@mvps.org replace #### with help ) . He's created a
printhead cleaning manual for Epson's that he will email to you. Send him a
private email to request a copy.

drc023 said:If I hadn't top posted the message might have been clearer to you. The
suggestion was to remove the printhead and put it in boiling water. It
isn't possible for an average user to remove a printhead on an Epson. But
please take my suggestion and email Art Entlich for a copy of his Epson
printhead cleaning manual.
