When I open Windows Expoler, I can only have one at a time open. When I go
to open a new page, it automatically closes the one I am in. How can I
repair this?

Launch Internet Explorer and from the Toolbar select:
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. Scroll down to
"Reuse windows for launching shortcuts", uncheck the
box next to it, then click on Apply.

That did not solve the issue. I am able to have this window and the original
window open. However, if I were to open another window, these would close
and the new one would open to my home page.

I fixed it!!!!!!!!!

This is how I did it....
1. In Internet Explorer go to Tools/Internet Options...

2. Select the "Programs" tab.

3. Hit the "Manage Add-ons" button.

4. Select each add-on by clicking the icon and click the "Disable" radio
button. You get a warning message saying that you may need to restart. Click
"OK". (You must do this one at a time for each add-on. )

5. When you are done disabling the add-on(s) click "OK" and "OK" to exit.

6. Close Internet Explorer.

7. Open Internet Explorer. To test that IE is working properly, hit "Ctrl +
N" to open a new window (or shift-click on a link, or double-click an
Explorer icon).

8. If that doesn't work, you may want to try to restart and test again. (I
didn't need to restart.)

9. If it works, go back into "Manage Add-ons" and "Enable" each add-on in
the same way that you disabled them in steps #1 - #5 above

To save time, I found the culprit to be: Yahoo Companion BHO
If you want to try that one first.
