When I link my picture to the web page www. baysidesiding.com it is
necessary to click on the red x to open the picture. What am I doing
wrong that the picture does not automatically ot show up?

thanks

It appears that an index page is not loaded on the server as I get

Apache 2 Test Page
powered by CentOS

Thanks, I have been working on it so I took it down, I have found that
publisher names inserted pic with a number and then inserts them into a file
called X_files (with the X being the name of the original doc) soI have to
link them as such in my web host folders. is there any other way? this is
pain

By default publisher puts supporting files in a sub folder
In your case it is "index_files"
All that is necessary is to place the sub folder and its contents on the
server in the same directory as you html pages
That option can be turned off where all files are in one directory

You should not have to link anything to present the page
Maybe I missed your point
Normally a red X indicates that the image was not found and was not loaded

On your main page look at the lower portion in the contact area
The text box is cutting off the lower portion of text
Stretch the bottom of the text box a tad to correct that

I assume that you did not load the rest of the pages yet

When you Publish to the Web, assuming that you are using 2003 or 2007, then
unless you change the defaults, Publisher produces an "index.htm" file (your
home page) and an "index_files" folder (not a file as you suggest), that
contains all the other pages of the site (.htm files) and all the supporting
graphic and image files. You upload the index.htm file and the index_files
folder intact. The links to the images from the web pages look to the
index_files folder for the image...if you mess with that automatic linking,
you will have problems. Also do not put any content on a master page. Master
pages do not work correctly in a Publisher web.

Prepare, publish, and maintain your Publisher Web site:
