why do I lose clip art from my doc when emailing as attachment?

I have created invitations to my family in one doc which I have emailed to
myself at work to print in colour. I have customised each of the invitations
with clip art and have lost the clip art in the doc sent as an attachment.

How can I email the doc without losing the clip art?

I could be that you are sending the e-mails in Plaintext and you would lose
those graphics. If you are attaching them and losing them, it maybe your
network server/IT department banning such files as attachments. You could
just copy it to a floppy and bring it into work.
