Why do my jpg files always disappear in Word?

I have checked the Drawings box in the Tools Options and unchecked
Placeholder, but it hasn't helped. This is very annoying when you're trying
to see what your document looks like! Thanks,

Try updating your video driver. Word 2003 requires this for some systems.
It worked on two of mine.
