Why does my ".DOC" go to a ".MDI" format when I try to print?

Tyler Lanthier

When I try to print a standard Word document (in .doc format); the "Save as
window appears and wants me to save my file in Microsoft Document Imaging
(".mdi") format; and I still can't print?

Any ideas?

In Windows, your default printer is probably Microsoft Office Document Image
Writer instead of the printer you actually want to print to. Click on Start
| Control Panel | Printers | <right-click on the name of the printer you
actually want to print to> | Set as Default | OK. Then try to print again.
