why does my email open up at 46% viewing

When i open up an email it opens at 46% and i am not able to read it. I have
to change the view to 100% each time and it doesnt save the size. when i try
to either reply or type and it does that, the view has to be changed in a
different menu and this is time consuming and really annoying.
