Why does the size of word file is different?

Dear,



Why the size of word file is different? at the same contentment it is
different. Sometime it is high and sometime it is low. Is there any fixing
program to fix our MS Word or MS Excel to reduce theirs size.



I think sometime this file have vast space.



Another question is there some program for fixing lost content word file.



If you have some information please let me know.

My mean is, I have a file with data but at the unknown reason the file was
cleaned but it have the same size as before damage.
