Why wont office 2007 beta 2 open documents?

I've been beta testing Office 2007 and up until recently was very impressed.
A couple of days ago I updated to Beta2 and now I can't open documents in any
program. The error message says they are not available.
I've checked the file extensions, online help and looked for updates with no
success.
Any ideas?
