why word always blinking at taskbar without open it?

when i double click the word icon on the desktop, the window just blinking at
the taskbar n did not open automatically.

ok thanks. before i fix it according to the method given, at the same time
that pc has symantec antivirus running. can i just uninstall the norton
antivirus?

Symantec and Norton are different names for the same company. No
need to uninstall Symantec/Norton. Just turn off the Office
Plugin according to the instructions given.
