Will office 2003 documents open in office 2000?

hi i have two pcs ones running xp and ones ME. i am considering updating
office 2000 to office 2003 on my xp machine. there is just one problem will i
be able to open office 2003 documents (word, pub and powerpoint) on the
office 2000 suite? i know it works the over way around.

Hi Robert,

Word and Powerpoint files from Office 2003 will open
in their Office 2000 counterparts but if the new versions
used features exclusive to those newer versions you'll
lose them or not get the same results in the earlier version.
If you're going to be working in both versions then in
the newer version, of Word for example, use the 2000
compatability settings.

For Publisher you'd have to use File=>Save as and
save to the Publisher 2000 format.
