Windows 2000 and IE5

The Windows 2000 installation manual indicates it will
install Internet Explorer 5. What if I already have IE6
on my PC? (The instructions say I can choose not to
install IE5 but then there will be many features
unavailable.)

First, this is the wrong group for Operating System questions - this group
handles questions about Microsoft Office.

Second, installing Windows 2000 will not "downgrade" IE.

I'm sorry, totally brain dead moment there, I meant to say
the OFFICE 2000 manual and ask if there was any danger
that the Office 2000 install would downgrade IE6?
