Word 2000 and Outlook 2002

From a Word document I should be able to send a document
without sending as an attachment. When I attempt to do
this I receive this error message:
"Word could not load email envelope. This could be caused
by a network problem or a problem with office
installation."
I have run detect and repair.
I am not using Outlook Express.
I have searched the MS files on line as well as called MS
for help and have not been able to resolve this issue.
I am running XP with office 2000 and Outlook 2002.

need to use the same versions.
